Like the Serenite Black, the new Serenite Blue features: an unruptured curved body cap and barrel ends that are totally flat allowing the pen to stand vertically on either end little strip of sterling silver engraved with WATERMAN to receive the pen clip when the cap is placed at the back of the pen
the barrel end is designed so that the cap fits into the pen body when clicked
The cap orientation allows the pen curve to continue even when capped on back
a solid silver, slightly curved clip held by a rounded solid silver piece engraved with WATERMAN hexagon emblem
an 18 karat gold nib overlaid with rhodium
The new barrel and cap are made out of machined metal (compared to resin for the Serenite Black) thus increasing the weight and the solidity of the pen.
Lacquered barrel and cap: unlike Serenite Black, the pen is lacquered, which enhances its glittering. A transparent varnish is applied by hand to obtain a better resistance and the depth of the shade.
Each Fountain pen comes with a bottle filling converter and two boxes of eight ink cartridges.
