Look no further, you have found the exclusive pride of "Swiss Quality" in luxury goods and writing instruments. In 1924 with the purchase of the Ecridor Pencil Factory (founded 1915) the Caran d’Ache Swiss Pencil Factory in Geneva, Switzerland, four years later manufactured the first all-metal Fixpencil. Only one year later to produce the first propelling pencils, hand-engraved gold and silver Ecridor mechanical pencil range.

In its almost century of history the Geneva-based pen maker has become synonymous with creativity, refinement, and excellence of quality. More than simply a brand, it has in essence created its own genre within the realm of fine writing instruments; associated personal accoutrements, such as men’s jewelry; and art materials. Switzerland’s only manufacturer of pencils, prestigious chirographic implements, and art supplies, almost iconoclastic in today’s world of mega-conglomerates, Caran d'Ache remains an independent family enterprise that has gained an international reputation for originality and exceptional quality.
